CPSG has the flexibility to add value through full implementations, strategic staff supplementation, permanent placements or
retainer-based production support. In all of these scenarios, we apply the same dedication to exceptional quality and
integrity to which our clients have become accustomed.
Upgrades
Whether you were born into upgrades or have had them forced upon you, both scenarios require value. Our approach to upgrades
encompasses the same basic principles as our implementations. That is, a focus on value, adhering to proven techniques, and
using the application as delivered to perform business processes.
Enrichment
To control scope, many implementations govern the functionality of the system to a manageable level. This allows the project
team to focus on the highest-priority business processes. Once the application has been in production mode for a comfortable
amount of time, organizations start to look for opportunities to expand the implemented technology to incrementally increase
the value to the company. We call this the enrichment phase, because it often uses the prioritizations generated in the initial
stages of the implementation as a guide for the best business processes to assess. These can be mini-projects, and clients often
perform the lion’s share of the effort that results from the knowledge produced in the original implementation.
OASIS
Some organizations choose not to carry the burden of day-to-day maintenance of major applications in a production environment.
In this situation, CPSG provides our OASIS practice — a shared-resource concept for the ongoing maintenance of production systems.
OASIS is based on a core team of consultants armed with a proven methodology for the management, documentation and application of
vendor-generated patches, fixes and minor upgrades.
Based upon client needs, OASIS can be expanded to include major upgrades, business process outsourcing and application hosting.
All of this can be accomplished on a consistent monthly pricing model, allowing our clients to ensure an up-to-date system for a
predictable budgeted cost.
